अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने चीन पर 1 नवंम्बर से 100 प्रतिशत का भारी भरकम टैरिफ लगाने की घोषणा की है। ट्रुथ सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर एक पोस्ट में इसकी जानकारी देते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि यह टैरिफ चीन पर वर्तमान में लागू किसी भी दूसरे टैरिफ से अतिरिक्त होगा। इसके साथ ही ट्रंप ने यह भी कहा कि अमेरिका सभी महत्वपूर्ण सॉफ्टवेयर निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध लगाएगा। ट्रंप के इस कदम के बाद दुनिया की दो बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के बीच व्यापार युद्ध चरम पर पहुंच गया है। ट्रंप ने टैरिफ बढ़ाने और सॉफ्टवेयर निर्यात पर नियंत्रण की घोषणा चीन के दुर्लभ मृदा खनिजों पर निर्यात सीमा लगाने के फैसले के जवाब में आई है, जो 1 नवम्बर से प्रभावी होगी।
