22 सितंबर 2025 यानी नवरात्रि से पहले दिन से गुड्स एंड सर्विस टैक्स (GST) में बड़े बदलाव लागू हो गए हैं. इसे देश के टैक्स सिस्टम में एक बड़ा बदलाव माना जा रहा है, जिसे जीएसटी 2.0 भी कहा जा रहा है. अब जीएसटी की दो मुख्य दरें होंगी — 5% और 18%. साथ ही, शराब, तंबाकू जैसे नुकसान पहुंचाने वाली चीजों पर 40% टैक्स लगेगा.

Major changes to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) have come into effect on September 22, 2025, the day before Navratri. This is considered a major change in the country’s tax system and is also being called GST 2.0. There will now be two main GST rates—5% and 18%. Additionally, harmful products like alcohol and tobacco will be taxed at 40%.
