बिहार में वोटर लिस्ट के विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण यानी SIR अभियान और ‘वोट चोरी’ जैसे आरोपों को लेकर चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ विपक्ष इंडिया गठबंधन ने मोर्चा खोल रखा है. इस बीच खबर है कि विपक्षी दल मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को हटाने के लिए महाभियोग प्रस्ताव लाने पर विचार कर रहा है. सूत्रों के अनुसार, विपक्षी दलों ने सोमवार सुबह संसद भवन में बड़ी बैठक की, जिसमें चुनाव आयोग प्रमुख को हटाने के प्रस्ताव पर चर्चा की.
कांग्रेस के राज्यसभा सांसद सैयद नसीर हुसैन ने कहा कि पार्टी लोकतंत्र के सभी संवैधानिक हथियारों का इस्तेमाल करने को तैयार है. उन्होंने कहा , ‘जरूरत पड़ी तो हम लोकतंत्र के तहत उपलब्ध सभी हथियारों का इस्तेमाल करेंगे. अभी तक महाभियोग पर कोई औपचारिक चर्चा नहीं हुई है, लेकिन अगर जरूरत पड़ी तो हम कुछ भी कर सकते हैं.’

According to sources, the opposition parties held a big meeting in Parliament House on Monday morning, in which the proposal to remove the Election Commission chief was discussed. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain said that the party is ready to use all the constitutional weapons of democracy. He said, ‘If needed, we will use all the weapons available under democracy. There has been no formal discussion on impeachment so far, but if needed, we can do anything.’
