कल हजरतबल दरगाह में राष्ट्रीय चिह्न अशोक स्तंभ को जुमे की नमाज के बाद तोड़ दिया गया… और तोड़ने वाले ने तर्क दिया कि इस्लाम में मूर्तिओं के इबादत की इजाजत नहीं है… इसीलिए इसे तोड़कर हटा देना चाहिए… लेकिन कल जिस तरह से पूरा वाकया हुआ उसे देखकर लग रहा था कि कश्मीर में फिर से पत्थरबाजी के पैटर्न को लाने की कोशिश हो रही है.. जैसे पहले बच्चों को आगे किया जाता था वैसे कल महिलाओं आगे करके ईट पत्थरों को राष्ट्रीय चिह्न को तोड़ा गया… इसके साथ ही पुलिस वालों के साथ भी बदसलूकी की गई. लेकिन अब इस मुद्दे पर सियासत शुरू हो गई है सूबे के मुख्यमंत्री से लेकर पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जो खुद संविधान की शपथ ले चुके हैं वहीं राष्ट्रीय चिह्न को लेकर सवाल उठा रहे है.

But now politics has started on this issue, from the Chief Minister of the state to the former Chief Minister, who himself has taken oath on the Constitution, are raising questions about the national symbol.
