उपद्रव के दौरान श्यामगंज में पुलिस पर फायरिंग करने वाले गैंगस्‍टर व गो तस्कर ताजिम को बारादरी पुलिस ने मुठभेड़ में गिरफ्तार कर लिया। उसके पैर में गोली लगी है। इसके अलावा इस उपद्रव में शामिल इत्तेहाद-ए-मिल्लत कौंसिल (आइएमएसी) के जिला अध्यक्ष शमशाद व मौलाना तौकीर रजा की सेवा करने वाले रईस समेत 15 लोगों को जेल भेजा गया है। एक आरोपित नाबालिग व मुठभेड़ में घायल आरोपित का उपचार होने की वजह से जेल नहीं भेजा जा सका।

During the recent unrest in Shyamganj, the Baradari police arrested Tajim, a gangster and cattle smuggler, in an encounter. Tajim was involved in firing at the police during the disturbances. He sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. In addition, 15 other people involved in the unrest, including Shamasad, the district president of the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMAC), and Raees, an associate of Maulana Tauqeer Raza, were sent to jail. One of the accused was a minor, and another, who was injured in the encounter, was not sent to jail as he required medical treatment.
