ताजमहल की यमुना से लगती दीवार पर बाढ़ का पानी छूने के साथ ही इस बात को लेकर फिर चर्चा शुरू हो गई है कि इस पानी से नींव को लाभ होगा या नुकसान। हालांकि भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (एएसआई) इस पानी से नुकसान कम लाभ ज्यादा मान रही है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि ताजमहल से लगकर हमेशा ही यमुना बहती थी। इसकी नींव को भी जिस लकड़ी से बनाया गया है, वह पानी के पड़ से खराब नहीं होती। ऐसे में फिलहाल उसकी नींव पर इस बार के पानी का क्या असर हुआ, इसका पता निरीक्षण के बाद चलेगा। ताजमहल के वरिष्ठ संरक्षण सहायक प्रिंस वाजपेई ने बताया कि जलस्तर पर नजर रखी जा रही है। रिपोर्ट बनाकर उच्चाधिकारियों को भेजी जाएगी। मुख्यालय से आगे जो भी निर्देश आएंगे, उसके अनुसार कदम उठाया जाएगा।

Whatever further instructions will come from the headquarters, steps will be taken accordingly.
