सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने देश में आवारा कुत्तों और सड़कों पर घूमने वाले मवेशियों से बढ़ती समस्या पर एक अहम फैसला सुनाया है। अदालत ने सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को स्कूल, अस्पताल, बस अड्डे और रेलवे स्टेशन जैसे सार्वजनिक स्थानों से आवारा कुत्तों को हटाने का निर्देश दिया है। हमारी संवाददाता अनीशा माथुर के अनुसार, कोर्ट ने साफ तौर पर कहा है कि ‘इन जगहों पर से जो कुत्ते उठाए जाएंगे, उनको वापस नहीं भेजा जाएगा, उनको शेल्टर होम में ही रखा जाएगा’।. यह आदेश एनिमल बर्थ कंट्रोल (ABC) नियमों में एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव है, जिसके तहत पहले कुत्तों को नसबंदी के बाद उसी इलाके में वापस छोड़ा जाता था।. इसके अलावा, कोर्ट ने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों से आवारा मवेशियों को हटाने का भी आदेश दिया है, जिसकी जिम्मेदारी NHAI के साथ-साथ राज्य सरकारों और जिलाधिकारियों की भी होगी।. सभी राज्यों को इन निर्देशों पर अमल करने और आठ सप्ताह के भीतर अनुपालन रिपोर्ट दाखिल करने को कहा गया है।.

The Supreme Court has issued a significant ruling on the growing problem of stray dogs and street cattle in the country. The court has directed all states and union territories to remove stray dogs from public places such as schools, hospitals, bus stands, and railway stations. According to our correspondent Anisha Mathur, the court has clearly stated that “dogs picked up from these places will not be sent back; they will be kept in shelter homes.” This order marks a significant change to the Animal Birth Control (ABC) rules, which previously required dogs to be released back into the area after sterilization. Furthermore, the court has also ordered the removal of stray cattle from national highways, a responsibility for which will be placed on the NHAI, as well as state governments and district magistrates. All states have been directed to implement these instructions and submit a compliance report within eight weeks.
