लद्दाख में स्टेटहुड और संवैधानिक सुरक्षा को लेकर हुए हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद गिरफ्तार हुए पर्यावरण और शिक्षा के लिए मशहूर कार्यकर्ता सोनम वांगचुक को शुक्रवार को जोधपुर जेल शिफ्ट किया गया है. इस हिंसक प्रदर्शन के दौरान चार लोगों की मौत और 90 लोग घायल हुए थे. लद्दाख प्रशासन ने सुरक्षा कारणों से लेह जिले में मोबाइल इंटरनेट बंद कर दिया है. 

Sonam Wangchuk, a prominent environmental and education activist, was transferred to Jodhpur jail on Friday after being arrested following violent protests demanding statehood and constitutional protections in Ladakh, which left four people dead and 90 injured. The Ladakh administration has shut down mobile internet in Leh district for security reasons.
