भारत के विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने मॉस्को में रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन से मुलाकात की है। इस मुलाकात का मकसद अगले महीने नई दिल्ली में होने वाले भारत-रूस वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन की तैयारियों पर चर्चा करना था। दोनों नेताओं ने bilateral relations के साथ-साथ global और regional issues पर बात चीत की, जयशंकर ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की तरफ से पुतिन को शुभकामनाएं भी दी. और तो और यह मुलाकात 23वें वार्षिक समिट की तैयारियों को गति देने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम माना जा रहा है। इस बैठक में रूस के प्रधानमंत्री Mikhail Mishustin, ईरान के उपराष्ट्रपति Mohammad Reza Aref, बेलारूस के प्रधानमंत्री Alexander Turchin, कजाकिस्तान के Olzhas Bektenov, किर्गिस्तान के Adilbek Kasymaliyev, ताजिकिस्तान के Kokhir Rasuljoda और उज्बेकिस्तान के Abdulla Aripov के साथ-साथ पाकिस्तान के उप प्रधानमंत्री Ishaq Dar और एससीओ महासचिव Nurlan Yermekbayev भी शामिल हुए.
India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss preparations for the India-Russia Annual Summit to be held in New Delhi next month. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as global and regional issues, and Jaishankar conveyed Prime Minister Modi’s best wishes to Putin. Furthermore, the meeting is considered an important step towards accelerating preparations for the 23rd Annual Summit. The meeting was attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, Kazakhstan’s Olzhas Bektenov, Kyrgyzstan’s Adilbek Kasymaliyev, Tajikistan’s Kokhir Rasuljoda, and Uzbekistan’s Abdulla Aripov, as well as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev.
