Heavy rains and floods continue to wreak havoc in many parts of the country. Life has been affected in Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. Heavy rains have been occurring in the capital Delhi since morning, due to which waterlogging has occurred in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Delhi-NCR. Roads in Delhi’s ITO, Subroto Park, Dhaula Kuan and posh areas like Bhagwan Das Marg are flooded, causing traffic jams and people are facing a lot of trouble. There have been incidents of cloudburst and landslides in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while flash floods have occurred in Ladakh. Questions are being raised on this situation that “Why is the drainage system, which we have always been questioning, so bad? Why is it not being improved?” Questions are also being raised on the claims of the administration because the cities are looking helpless after just a few hours of rain. Similar pictures have been seen in Noida and Gurugram as well.
