राजस्थान में नि:शुल्क दवा योजना के तहत दी जा रही खांसी की सिरप ‘डेक्सट्रोमेथॉरफेन एचबीआर सिरप आईपी 13.5 मिग्रा/5 मिली’ फिर से विवादों में है. भरतपुर जिले के बयाना के मलाह गांव में इस सिरप के सेवन से दो महीने के मासूम सम्राट की मौत हो गई, जबकि दो अन्य बच्चे साक्षी (4 वर्ष) और विराट (6 वर्ष) गंभीर रूप से बीमार हो गए. जयप्रवेश ने बताया कि 18 सितंबर को तीनों बच्चों को जुकाम और खांसी के लिए गांव के प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (पीएचसी) से यह सिरप दिया गया. दवा पीते ही बच्चों की हालत बिगड़ गई, और सम्राट को जयपुर रेफर किया गया, जहां 22 सितंबर को उसकी मौत हो गई. इससे पहले सीकर में भी इस सिरप से एक बच्चे की जान जा चुकी है.

The cough syrup ‘Dextromethorphan HBr Syrup IP 13.5 mg/5ml’, distributed under the free medicine scheme in Rajasthan, is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. In Malah village of Bayana in Bharatpur district, a two-month-old infant named Samrat died after taking this syrup, while two other children, Sakshi (4 years) and Virat (6 years), fell seriously ill. Jaypraveesh stated that all three children were given this syrup from the village’s primary health center (PHC) on September 18 for their cold and cough. Immediately after taking the medicine, the children’s condition worsened, and Samrat was referred to a hospital in Jaipur, where he died on September 22. Earlier, a child had also died in Sikar after taking the same syrup.
