उपराष्ट्रपति पद से इस्तीफे के बाद से जगदीप धनखड़ के सार्वजनिक तौर पर नजर नहीं आने का जिक्र करते हुए कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने बुधवार को सवाल उठाया कि वह कहां ‘छिपे’ हुए हैं। राहुल गांधी ने सवाल किया कि आखिर पूर्व राष्ट्रपति ‘पूरी तरह से चुप’ क्यों हो गए हैं। उपराष्ट्रपति पद के लिए विपक्ष के संयुक्त उम्मीदवार बी सुदर्शन रेड्डी के सम्मान में आयोजित एक समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए राहुल ने कहा कि धनखड़ के (उपराष्ट्रपति) पद छोड़ने के पीछे एक ‘कहानी’ है। उन्होंने आश्चर्य जताया कि देश के पूर्व उपराष्ट्रपति ऐसी स्थिति में क्यों हैं, जहां ‘वह एक शब्द भी नहीं बोल सकते’ और ‘उन्हें छिपना पड़ रहा है।’

Rahul Gandhi questioned why the former President has gone ‘completely silent’. Addressing a function organized in honor of B Sudarshan Reddy, the joint opposition candidate for the post of Vice President, Rahul said that there is a ‘story’ behind Dhankhar’s (Vice President) resignation. He wondered why the former Vice President of the country is in such a situation where ‘he cannot speak a single word’ and ‘he has to hide.’
