प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी चीन के तियानजिन में शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (SCO) शिखर सम्मेलन के बाद सोमवार, 1 सितंबर को रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठक की. बैठक में भारत और रूस की दोस्ती अलग मुकाम पर पहुंची. साझा बयान के दौरान रूसी राष्ट्रपति पुतिन ने जहां पीएम मोदी को प्रिय दोस्त कहकर संबोधित किया, तो वहीं पीएम मोदी ने भी रूस को भारत का कठिन वक्त का साथी बताया. पीएम मोदी ने इस मौके पर राष्ट्रपति पुतिन से कहा कि हर मुश्किल वक्त में भारत और रूस साथ खड़े रहे हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि दुनिया की स्थिरता के लिए दोनों देश अहम हैं. साथ ही पीएम मोदी ने यूक्रेन में शांति के लिए सभी प्रयास को जरूरी बताया है.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, 1 September, after the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China. In the meeting, the friendship between India and Russia reached a different level. During the joint statement, while Russian President Putin addressed PM Modi as a dear friend, PM Modi also described Russia as India’s partner in difficult times. On this occasion, PM Modi told President Putin that India and Russia have stood together in every difficult time. He said that both countries are important for the stability of the world. Also, PM Modi has said that all efforts are necessary for peace in Ukraine.
