Leh Bandh Today: केंद्र शासित प्रदेश लद्दाख को राज्य का दर्जा देने की मांग को लेकर लंबे समय से चल रहा है आंदोलन बुधवार को हिंसक हो गया. इस दौरान सड़कों पर आगजनी और झड़पें हुई, जिसमें चार लोगों की मौत हो गई और 40 पुलिसकर्मियों समेत कम से कम 80 लोग घायल हो गए. लद्दाख को राज्य का दर्जा देने और छठी अनुसूची के विस्तार की मांग को लेकर कार्यकर्ता सोनम वांगचुक ने नेतृत्व में आंदोलन चल रहा था. वांगचुक 15 दिनों से भूख हड़ताल पर थे लेकिन बुधवार की हिंसा के बाद उन्होंने अपनी हड़ताल वापस ले ली है. इस बीच केंद्र सरकार ने कहा कि वांगचुक के भड़काऊ बयानों की वजह से हिंसा भड़की. कुछ लोग सरकार और लद्दाखी समूहों के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच बातचीत में हुई प्रगति से खुश नहीं हैं. लेह में हिंसा के बाद KDA ने बंद का ऐलान किया है।

Leh Bandh Today: A long-running agitation demanding statehood for the Union Territory of Ladakh turned violent on Wednesday. Four people were killed and at least 80 others, including 40 policemen, were injured, leading to arson and street clashes. The agitation, led by activist Sonam Wangchuk, was demanding statehood for Ladakh and the expansion of the Sixth Schedule. Wangchuk had been on a hunger strike for 15 days but called off his strike following Wednesday’s violence. Meanwhile, the central government stated that Wangchuk’s inflammatory statements sparked the violence. Some people are unhappy with the progress made in talks between the government and representatives of Ladakhi groups. Following the violence in Leh, the KDA has announced a shutdown.
