करवाचौथ से पहले मेहंदी लगाने को लेकर विवाद उत्पन्न हुआ है. संत समाज और क्रांति सेना ने मुस्लिम युवकों से मेहंदी लगवाने का विरोध किया है, इसे लव जिहाद से जोड़ते हुए सनातन परंपरा के खिलाफ बताया है. मुजफ्फरनगर में क्रांति सेना महिला मोर्चा ने चेतावनी दी है कि अगर किसी गैर समुदाय के युवक ने हिंदू महिलाओं के हाथों में मेहंदी लगाई तो उसे डंडे से सजा दी जाएगी. संगठन ने पूरे जिले में मेहंदी स्टॉल्स पर पहचान अभियान चलाने और मेहंदी लगाने वाले युवकों के आधार कार्ड चेक करने की बात कही है.

A controversy has erupted over the application of mehndi ahead of Karva Chauth. The Sant Samaj and Kranti Sena have opposed Muslim youth applying mehndi, linking it to love jihad and calling it against Sanatan tradition. In Muzaffarnagar, the Kranti Sena Mahila Morcha has warned that any youth from a different community applying mehndi to Hindu women’s hands will be punished with caning. The organization has called for an identification campaign at mehndi stalls across the district and checking the Aadhaar cards of the men applying mehndi.
