बडगाम जिले में झेलम नदी में उफान के कारण लगभग 200 परिवारों को बचाया गया। मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने बाढ़ को रोकने के लिए सरकार के प्रयासों का आश्वासन दिया और पिछली सरकारों पर पर्याप्त कदम न उठाने का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने 2014 की बाढ़ के बाद सत्ताधारी सरकार पर निशाना साधा और कहा कि घाटी को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए कुछ नहीं किया गया।

Nearly 200 families were rescued as the Jhelum river swelled in Budgam district. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah assured of the government’s efforts to prevent floods and accused previous governments of not doing enough. He attacked the ruling government after the 2014 floods and said nothing was done to keep the valley safe.
