आज से चारधाम कपाट बंद होने की शुरुआत होने वाली है. इस कड़ी में आज सबसे पहले गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद होगे. गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट अन्नकूट पर्व के मौके पर बंद किये जाते हैं. आज सुबह 11.26 मनट पर गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद होंगे. जिसके लिए सभी तैयारियां कर ली गई हैं. गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद होने के बाद मां गंगा की विग्रह डोली भोगमूर्ति, आर्मी बैंड और स्थानीय वाद्य यंत्रों के साथ शीतकालीन प्रवास मुखबा गांव के लिए रवाना होगी. 22 अक्टूबर की रात को डोली मुखबा गांव से करीब दो किमी पहले मौजूद मार्कडेंय मंदिर में रात्रि विश्राम करेगी. उसके बाद अगले दिन 23 अक्टूबर की दोपहर मां गंगा की विग्रह डोली मुखबा गांव पहुंचेगी. मुखबा गांव में मां गंगा की भोगमूर्ति को मंदिर में विधिविधान से शीतकाल 6 माह के लिए स्थापित किया जाएगा. इसके बाद 6 माह शीतकाल के लिए मां गंगा के दर्शन उनके शीतकालीन प्रवास मुखबा गांव में ही होंगे.
