बिहार में हुए SIR के बाद अब देश के 12 राज्यों व केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में मतदाता सूचियों के विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण की शुरुआत हो रही है. 28 अक्तूबर को इन सभी राज्यों व केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों की मतदाता सूचियां फ्रीज कर दी गईं. अब आज से SIR की प्रक्रिया का दूसरा चरण शुरू हो रहा है, जो कि 7 फरवरी 2026 तक चलेगा.

After the SIR in Bihar, now a special intensive revision of voter lists is being started in 12 states and union territories of the country. The voter lists of all these states and union territories were frozen on October 28. Now, the second phase of the SIR process begins today, which will continue until February 7, 2026.
