वैसे ऐसा पहली बार नहीं जब पाकिस्तान और सऊदी अरब के बीच रक्षा समझौता हुआ हो । इससे पहले भी दोनों देश के बीच रक्षा समझौतों को लंबा इतिहास है…आज आपको इसके बारे में भी जानना चाहिए । दोनों देशों के बीच पहला औपचारिक रक्षा सहयोग समझौता 1967 में हुआ…भारत के साथ 1965 के युद्ध के बाद पाकिस्तान ने सऊदी सहयोग को हासिल करने के लिए ये समझौता किया था । दोनों देशों के बीच 1979 से 1985 तक गुप्त परमाणु सहयोग भी हुआ…सउदी अरब ने पाकिस्तान को परमाणु बम के निर्माण के लिए गुप्त रुप से वित्तीय मदद की । इसके अलावा दोनों देशों के बीच सैन्य प्रशिक्षण का एमओयू भी साइन हुआ, 1979 में जब उग्रवादियों ने मक्का की मस्जिद पर कब्जा किया तो पाकिस्तान के SSG कमांडोज़ ने मस्जिद को उग्रवादियों से मुक्त कराने के लिए एक गुप्त ऑपरेशन चलाया। 2005 में अल-कायदा और ईरान पर नजर रखने के लिए साझा डेस्क की स्थापना की गई इसके अलावा इंटेलिजेंस शेयरिंग और आतंकवाद विरोधी समझौता किया गया, 2014–2015 में सउदी में पाकिस्तान की “स्टैंडबाय फोर्स” की तैनाती हुई…जिसका मकसद सऊदी अरब को घरेलू सुरक्षा की जरूरत के हिसाब से पाकिस्तान से सैन्य सहायता देना था ।
This isn’t the first time a defense agreement has been signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. There’s a long history of defense agreements between the two countries, and today you should learn about them. The first formal defense cooperation agreement between the two countries was signed in 1967. Following the 1965 war with India, Pakistan signed this agreement to secure Saudi cooperation. Secret nuclear cooperation also took place between the two countries from 1979 to 1985. Saudi Arabia secretly provided financial assistance to Pakistan for the development of a nuclear bomb. Furthermore, a military training agreement was signed between the two countries. In 1979, when militants seized the Mecca Mosque, Pakistani SSG commandos launched a covert operation to liberate the mosque. In 2005, a joint desk was established to monitor al-Qaeda and Iran, and an intelligence sharing and counter-terrorism agreement was signed. In 2014–2015, a Pakistani “standby force” was deployed in Saudi Arabia to provide military assistance from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia for its domestic security needs.
