गोरखा सैनिकों की शौर्यगाथाओं और बलिदानों को अमर बनाने के लिए गोरखपुर का ऐतिहासिक गोरखा युद्ध स्मारक अब और भव्य रूप लेगा। गुरुवार को मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ और चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ (सीडीएस) जनरल अनिल चौहान ने संयुक्त रूप से स्मारक के सौंदर्यीकरण और संग्रहालय निर्माण का भूमि पूजन किया। 1.33 एकड़ में फैले इस प्रोजेक्ट पर 45 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह स्मारक न केवल वीर सैनिकों के पराक्रम का प्रतीक होगा बल्कि भारत- नेपाल संबंधों को भी और मजबूत करेगा।
To immortalise the valour and sacrifices of Gorkha soldiers, the historic Gorkha War Memorial of Gorakhpur will now take a more grand form. On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan jointly performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the beautification of the memorial and the construction of a museum. Rs 45 crore will be spent on this project spread over 1.33 acres. The Chief Minister said that this memorial will not only be a symbol of the valour of the brave soldiers but will also strengthen India-Nepal relations.
