Vietnam witnessed the wrath of Typhoon Matmo, following Typhoon Bualoi. Heavy rains and flooding caused by Matmo killed eight people and injured five others, the Vietnam Disaster and Dike Management Authority said on Wednesday. The agency said more than 15,700 houses were submerged and over 400 damaged, while more than 14,600 hectares of rice and other crops were destroyed.
