सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उस याचिका को खारिज किया, जिसमें मध्य प्रदेश हाईकोर्ट के तकिया मस्जिद गिराने के फैसले को चुनौती दी गई थी. यह याचिका उज्जैन के 13 निवासियों ने दायर की थी, जो दावा करते हैं कि वे 200 साल पुरानी तकिया मस्जिद में नमाज अदा करते थे. उनका आरोप था कि राज्य सरकार ने महाकाल मंदिर परिसर की पार्किंग बढ़ाने के लिए मस्जिद को गिरा दिया.
The Supreme Court dismissed a petition challenging the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s decision to demolish the Takia Masjid. The petition was filed by 13 Ujjain residents who claim to have offered prayers at the 200-year-old Takia Masjid.
