Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that 13 Bangladeshis have been apprehended and sent back from the Sri Bhumi district of Assam. In a post on X, CM Himanta said that the audacity of “Miyanbhai” (a term sometimes used pejoratively for people of Bangladeshi origin) will not be tolerated in Assam.
