बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव प्रचार के आखिरी दिन जदयू अध्यक्ष और केंद्रीय मंत्री ललन सिंह के बयान पर विवाद खड़ा हो गया. एक वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद निर्वाचन आयोग ने ललन सिंह को नोटिस भेजकर जवाब मांगा था. जांच के बाद आयोग ने उनके खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कराया है.

बिहार में हुए SIR के बाद अब देश के 12 राज्यों व केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में मतदाता सूचियों के विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण की शुरुआत हो रही है. 28 अक्तूबर को इन सभी राज्यों व केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों की मतदाता सूचियां फ्रीज कर दी गईं. अब आज से SIR की प्रक्रिया का दूसरा चरण शुरू हो रहा है, जो कि 7 फरवरी 2026 तक चलेगा.
