India conducted a midnight test of the Agni-Prime missile using a mobile rail-mounted launcher system. The train was specially designed for this purpose. This train can reach every corner of the country where rail lines exist. This success will significantly benefit India’s defense sector. Previously, missile launches were limited to specific locations. But now, with rail-mounted launchers, India can deploy and launch missiles from almost anywhere along its railway network. The test was conducted at the Chandipur Integrated Test Range in Odisha. The missile has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated and praised the DRDO and the armed forces for this achievement. In fact, Russia, China, and North Korea have previously tested mobile rail launchers.
