उत्तराखंड सरकार ने 2025 से Green Cess टैक्स लागू किया है. अब बाहरी राज्यों से आने वाली कारों, टैक्सियों और बसों पर यह टैक्स लगेगा. इसका मकसद है पर्यावरण को बचाना और प्रदूषण कम करना. Electric और Battery vehicles को इसमें छूट दी गई है. सरकार का कहना है कि इससे मिलने वाली राशि साफ हवा, पेड़ लगाने और ट्रैफिक सिस्टम सुधार में इस्तेमाल होगी.
