Kotak Securities expects the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to announce a rate cut of 25–50 basis points in the coming months as inflation continues to ease. The moderation in prices has been driven by lower food costs and recent GST rate cuts, giving the RBI room for monetary easing. The report adds that while the repo rate remains unchanged at 5.5% since October, the tone of the central bank’s policy has turned more dovish, hinting at possible rate cuts to boost growth. CPI inflation dropped to 1.5% in September, and GST cuts are gradually reflecting in consumer prices. The RBI is expected to carefully balance supporting economic growth and keeping inflation under control.

Kotak Securities की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, RBI आने वाले महीनों में 25 से 50 बेसिस पॉइंट तक की ब्याज दरों में कटौती कर सकता है. रिपोर्ट का कहना है कि खाद्य वस्तुओं की कीमतों में गिरावट और हाल की GST दरों में कटौती की वजह से महंगाई घट रही है, जिससे RBI के पास रेट कट करने की गुंजाइश है.
अक्टूबर की पॉलिसी में RBI ने रेपो रेट 5.5% पर स्थिर रखी थी, लेकिन अब सेंट्रल बैंक का रुख थोड़ा Dovish यानी रेट कट के लिए तैयार दिख रहा है.
सितंबर में CPI महंगाई 1.5% रही, जबकि कोर महंगाई 4.5% तक बढ़ी. रिपोर्ट मानती है कि आगे चलकर FY26 में Inflation 2.1% और FY27 में 4.1% रह सकता है.
अगर RBI दरें घटाता है, तो होम लोन, कार लोन और पर्सनल लोन सब सस्ते हो जाएंगे.
