PM Modi to Inaugurate Navi Mumbai International Airport on October 8
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the state-of-the-art Navi Mumbai International Airport on October 8. Developed as a public–private partnership between Adani Airports and CIDCO, the airport features a 3,700-metre runway, modern terminals, and advanced air traffic systems. Initially handling 20 million passengers per year, it will strengthen Mumbai’s connectivity and support domestic airlines like IndiGo, Akasa Air, and Air India Express. With automated cargo facilities and phased expansion, the airport aims to eventually serve 90 million passengers and manage over 3.2 million metric tonnes of cargo annually.
