Oil rises on supply fears, gold dips, silver steady near highs, copper gains, gas falls, soybeans up
Oil prices climbed as Ukraine’s drone strikes on Russia disrupted fuel facilities, raising concerns over supply. Brent crude rose to $67.76 and WTI to $63.73. Gold eased slightly to $3,410 an ounce as the dollar strengthened, while silver hovered near $39, its highest since 2011. Copper surged past 79,300 yuan in Shanghai, supported by Fed rate cut expectations and strong Chinese demand. Natural gas slipped to $2.7/MMBtu on ample supply, while soybeans extended gains on renewed hopes of Chinese demand.
