India and China are set to resume direct flights after nearly five years of suspension due to the Doklam crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. This major decision was announced during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s official visit to India, where he held discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval.
As part of this development, both nations have agreed to a new Air Services Agreement, which will make travel between the two countries much easier. The agreement aims to simplify the visa process for tourists, business travelers, students, and media professionals.
