अब नया Minimum Balance Requirement इस तरह है:
Metro & Urban: ₹15,000
Semi-Urban: ₹7,500
Rural: ₹2,500
इन changes से लाखों customers को relief मिली है.

Who are exempted from Minimum Balance rule?
Salary Accounts, Senior Citizens, Pensioners, Jan Dhan Accounts, BSBDA, Special Needs Accounts और 1,200 चुनिंदा institutions के Students को Minimum Balance रखने की जरूरत नहीं है.

What if you don’t maintain Minimum Balance?
अगर आपका account exempted list में नहीं आता और आपके funds required limit से कम हैं, तो बैंक कमी का 6% of Shortfall या ₹500 (whichever is lower) charge करेगा.

Example:
Metro में Minimum ₹15,000 होना चाहिए
अगर account में ₹10,000 हैं → shortfall ₹5,000
6% of ₹5,000 = ₹300
₹300 और ₹500 में से lower amount यानी ₹300 penalty लगेगी.

ICICI Bank का ये U-turn Metro, Semi-Urban और Rural customers के लिए बड़ी राहत लेकर आया है.
