US natural gas surged above $4.20 on record LNG exports and cold weather forecasts. Gold slipped below $4,000 as a strong dollar and fading rate-cut hopes weighed on demand. Copper retreated on weaker Chinese demand, while zinc hit an 11-month high above $3,100 on supply shortages. Soybeans touched a 16-month peak on renewed Chinese buying expectations.
