Amul has announced a major price cut across 700+ products effective September 22, 2025, following the GST 2.0 reforms. The revised prices cover a wide range of categories including milk, butter, ghee, cheese, ice cream, paneer, peanut spread, chocolates, and more. For instance, Amul Butter 100 gm will now cost ₹58 instead of ₹62, Amul Taaza Toned Milk 1L is reduced to ₹75, and Vanilla Magic Ice Cream Tub 1L is down to ₹180 from ₹195. The company stated that this move will encourage higher consumption, especially in categories like ice cream, cheese, and butter where India’s per capita usage remains low. As a cooperative owned by 3.6 million farmers, Amul emphasized that this step benefits both consumers and producers, passing on GST benefits directly to households while ensuring better returns for farmers. Amul has already communicated the new MRP list to distributors, retailers, and Amul Parlours across India, ensuring immediate consumer benefit. This initiative strengthens Amul’s vision of offering quality, affordability, and trust to Indian families.
