The 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) is expected to be formed by Diwali 2025, bringing a major salary hike for central government employees and pensioners. Unlike previous commissions, the 8th CPC report will be prepared within 8 months, ensuring that recommendations can be implemented from 1st January 2026. A 6-member panel will review inflation, expenses, and employee needs to finalize the new pay structure. The fitment factor is expected to be 1.92, which means the basic pay of employees will nearly double. For example, a Level-4 employee with a basic pay of ₹25,500 may see it rise to ₹48,960. The overall salary may increase by ₹10,000 per month on average. Dearness Allowance (DA), which is currently at 55% and expected to reach 61% by January 2026, will reset to 0% once the new pay matrix is implemented. This commission is not just about salary revisions but about recognizing employee contributions amidst rising inflation. With arrears guaranteed in case of delays, the 8th Pay Commission promises to be a major Diwali gift for government employees.

8वां वेतन आयोग (8th Pay Commission) दिवाली 2025 तक गठित होने की संभावना है. इस बार सरकार का इरादा साफ है कि रिपोर्ट को 8 महीने में तैयार कर लिया जाए और 1 जनवरी 2026 से नया वेतन स्ट्रक्चर लागू हो जाए. आयोग में 6 सदस्य होंगे जो कर्मचारियों की जरूरतों और महंगाई को ध्यान में रखकर सैलरी स्ट्रक्चर तय करेंगे. चर्चा है कि इस बार 1.92 फिटमेंट फैक्टर लागू हो सकता है, जिससे कर्मचारियों का बेसिक पे लगभग दोगुना हो जाएगा. उदाहरण के तौर पर, लेवल-4 के कर्मचारी का बेसिक पे ₹25,500 से बढ़कर करीब ₹48,960 हो सकता है. औसतन मासिक वेतन में ₹10,000 तक की बढ़ोतरी संभव है. फिलहाल कर्मचारियों को 55% डीए मिल रहा है जो जनवरी 2026 तक 61% हो सकता है, लेकिन नए आयोग के लागू होते ही डीए रीसेट होकर 0% से शुरू होगा. यह आयोग सिर्फ वेतन वृद्धि नहीं, बल्कि कर्मचारियों की मेहनत और उम्मीदों का सम्मान है. दिवाली 2025 सरकारी कर्मचारियों के लिए वाकई एक बड़ी खुशखबरी लेकर आ सकती है.
