पेट्रोल-डीजल की कमी को लेकर फैल रही अफवाहों के बीच केंद्र सरकार ने स्थिति पूरी तरह स्पष्ट कर दी है। सरकार के मुताबिक देश में इस समय करीब 60 दिनों का पर्याप्त ईंधन भंडार मौजूद है, जिससे पेट्रोल, डीजल और LPG की सप्लाई सुरक्षित बनी हुई है। अधिकारियों ने साफ कहा है कि किसी भी तरह की कमी नहीं है और सभी रिफाइनरी सामान्य रूप से काम कर रही हैं। इसके बावजूद लोगों में डर की वजह से पैनिक बाइंग देखने को मिल रही है, जिससे पेट्रोल पंपों पर भीड़ बढ़ रही है। सरकार ने लोगों से अपील की है कि अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें और जरूरत के मुताबिक ही ईंधन लें, क्योंकि असली समस्या कमी नहीं बल्कि गलत जानकारी से फैला डर है।
