Preparations have begun to ban the entry of non-Hindus to the Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. This means Muslims will no longer be able to visit the Char Dham. However, non-Hindus include not only Muslims, but also Sikhs and Christians, who will also be barred from entering. This ban has already been implemented at Gangotri Dham, and proposals for the remaining sites are in the final stages. The temple committee has cited religious sanctity and traditions as the reason for the ban. Chief Minister Dhami has stated that the concerns of all stakeholders will be considered.

उत्तराखंड के चारधाम में गैर हिंदुओं की एंट्री बैन करने की तैयारी शुरू हो चुकी है। यानी मुसलमान अब चारधाम नहीं जा पाएंगे। गैर हिंदू हालांकि सिर्फ मुसलमान नहीं है। सिख धर्म के लोग भी नहीं जा पाएंगे और ईसाई धर्म के लोग भी नहीं जा पाएंगे। गंगोत्री धाम में इसकी शुरुआत हो चुकी है। बाकी जगह बाकी जगह पर भी प्रस्ताव फाइनल स्टेज में है। मंदिर समिति ने धार्मिक पवित्रता और परंपराओं का हवाला दिया है। तो वहीं मुख्यमंत्री धामी का भी कहना है कि सभी हितधारकों की बात सुनी जाएगी।
