मित्रो तालिबान ने जो गुलामी प्रथा प्रारम्भ की है, वो उसके कट्टरपंथ पर नई वैचारिक मुहर है। सोचिए, जिन कट्टरपंथियों को अपनी बहू, बेटियों, मां और बहनों की आज़ादी कबूल नहीं है, वे दूसरों की स्वतंत्रता को कितना बर्दाश्त कर पाएंगे। ऐसे धर्मांध दूसरे धर्म की मान्यता को कैसे बर्दाश्त कर पाएंगे? निश्चित रूप से ना कर पाएंगे और ना ही वे कर पा रहे हैं।
तालिबान की तरह संकीर्ण सोच वाले कुछ कट्टपरंथी हिंदुस्तान में भी मौजूद हैं। वे अफगानिस्तान की तरह यहां पर शरिया कानून तो लागू करने की स्थिति में नहीं है, लेकिन अपने अंदर के अतिवाद को पत्थर बनाकर उछालते रहते हैं। वे यहां हिंदुओं की पूजा पद्धति बर्दाश्त नहीं कर पाते हैं। वे प्रतिमा विसर्जन और जुलूस को सहन नहीं पर पाते हैं। यही कारण है कि कभी सरस्वती पूजा में, कभी महाशिवरात्रि के जुलूस पर तो कभी रामनवमी की यात्रा के दौरान हमले होते हैं। मित्रो हिंदुस्तान को ऐसे मजहबी कट्टरपंथियों से खतरा है तो अमेरिका इस वक्त कुदरत के सबसे बड़े संकट का सामना कर रहा है। अमेरिका में भीषण बर्फीला तूफान आया हुआ है। टेक्सास से न्यू इंग्लैंड तक तबाही मची हुई है। बड़ी संख्या में लोगों की जान गई है। लाखों लोग अपने-अपने घरों में कैद हैं।

They cannot tolerate idol immersion and processions. This is why attacks occur during Saraswati Puja, during Mahashivratri processions, and during Ram Navami celebrations. Friends, while India faces a threat from such religious extremists, America is currently facing one of nature’s greatest crises. A severe snowstorm has hit the United States. There is devastation from Texas to New England. A large number of people have lost their lives. Millions of people are trapped in their homes.
