Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected the Fujian aircraft carrier on Wednesday in south China’s Hainan Province.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, boarded the vessel for an inspection.
The Fujian is China’s first aircraft carrier equipped with electromagnetic catapults.
