Woman uproots cherry blossom tree in Shanghai after climbing it for photo
A cherry blossom tree in a Shanghai park was uprooted after a woman climbed it for a photo.

The incident took place on Monday (Apr 6) at Gucun Park. The tree, believed to be more than 20 years old, was later repositioned by park authorities, but its chances of survival are low due to damaged roots.

Police have identified the woman, who has indicated she is willing to pay compensation.
