Russia’s Missiles Plunge Kyiv Into Darkness | Trump Promises “Stepping Up Pressure” | GRAVITAS
Russia launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine, firing over 450 drones and 30 missiles. Ukrainian President Zelensky reported the death of a 7-year-old child in Zaporizhzhia and more than 20 injuries. Blackouts and damage to residential and energy infrastructure were reported across nine regions, including Kyiv. Ukraine’s largest electricity operator, DTEK, confirmed damage to multiple thermal plants. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington and NATO are “stepping up the pressure” to end the war, following failed ceasefire talks with Russia.
