Russia Proposes ‘Putin-Trump’ Tunnel Project
A Kremlin envoy has proposed building a $8 billion rail tunnel under the Bering Strait to connect Russia and the United States. Dubbed the “Putin-Trump” tunnel, the 70-mile link would facilitate joint resource exploration and symbolize renewed unity between the two powers. The idea comes amid efforts to revive U.S.-Russia relations, following talks between Presidents Putin and Trump and a planned meeting in Budapest to discuss peace in Ukraine.
