Russian Federation and People’s Republic of China have strongly condemned the recent U.S. and Israeli military strikes on Iran that resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, calling the attack an assassination and a serious violation of international law.

Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the killing as a “cynical violation of morality and international law,” expressing deep condolences and urging an immediate end to hostilities.

Beijing’s foreign ministry echoed this stance, labeling the strikes “a grave violation of Iran’s sovereignty and security” and calling for an urgent ceasefire and return to diplomacy.
