French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the deployment of three Rafale fighter jets to Poland, following a series of Russian drone incursions that breached NATO airspace.
In a bold statement, Macron said the move reinforces France’s commitment to protecting NATO’s Eastern Flank, asserting that Europe “will not yield to Russia’s growing intimidation.”
Macron revealed he made this commitment to the Polish Prime Minister, and has also coordinated with the British Prime Minister and NATO Secretary General.
