Why China’s first-ever in-flight abort test matters for its lunar ambitions
Heads up, space fans – this is another major step toward China’s goal of landing taikonauts on the moon by 2030. China has successfully carried out a low-altitude flight test of the Long March-10 rocket, together with its first-ever in-flight abort test of the Mengzhou crewed spacecraft, at the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China’s Hainan Province.
