In this video, the TMC leader is seen threatening his own candidates and inciting voters. The TMC leader, Hafizul Molla, states:
“After the election results are declared on May 4th, I will unleash the ‘Estimates’ [financial sanctions/penalties] upon the candidates.” The West Bengal Police have arrested the TMC leader, Hafizul Molla—who also serves as the Pradhan (head) of the Deuli Gram Panchayat. Legal action is currently being initiated against him. According to Election Commission officials, the TMC leader is accused of publicly issuing threats against his own candidates—as well as those of his opponents—in the Jibantala area of the South 24 Parganas district.
