WATCH: Moment Democrat ejected from Trump’s State of the Union speech
U.S. Democratic Representative from Texas Al Green was removed from the House chamber during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech.

Green was holding a sign reading “BLACK PEOPLE AREN’T APES!” in all caps. The protest comes after Trump faced backlash for posting – and later deleting – a video on social media depicting former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as apes. Trump said a staffer was responsible for posting the clip.
