US will leave Iran ‘very soon’, within ‘2 to 3 weeks’, President Trump says
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday (Mar 31) that the US could end its military attacks on Iran within two to three weeks and Tehran did not have to make a deal as a prerequisite for the conflict to wind down.

“We’ll be leaving very soon,” he told reporters in the White House’s Oval Office, adding that the exit could take place “within two weeks, maybe two weeks, maybe three”. Trump also said that it “doesn’t matter” if Iran wants to negotiate because the US has “set them back”. “It’ll take 15 to 20 years for them to rebuild what we’ve done to them,” he said.
