US Veteran Has Arm Broken During Dramatic Removal From Iran War Hearing
Former Marine Sergeant Brian McGuinness had his arm broken and was removed by Capitol Police on Wednesday after he interrupted an Armed Services Subcommittee hearing to protest the ongoing US-Israeli military operation against Iran.
Footage shows McGuinness, dressed in his Marine uniform, shouting, “No one wants to fight for Israel,” before officers moved in to remove him from the room. During the struggle, his arm became trapped in a door and appeared to snap before he was escorted into a corridor under police guard.
Asked by a reporter whether American soldiers wanted to fight in Iran, McGuinness replied: “They don’t want to send their sons and daughters to fight in Iran.”
A witness described the moment officers forced him out of the chamber.
“They pulled him out, got his arm trapped in a door, broke his arm, like, tackled him to the ground. It was a very, very intense situation,” she said.
Republican Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana was also involved in the removal, later saying he stepped in to “help out and de-escalate the situation.”
According to media reports, McGuinness now faces a charge of resisting arrest and three counts of assaulting a police officer.
The disruption comes amid heightened tensions following the February 28 US-Israeli attack on Iran. Tehran has responded with strikes on Israel and US-linked targets across the region, with explosions reported in several Gulf countries.
