US military plane crashes in Iraq
A US military refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq on Thursday, March 12, killing all six service members on board, according to US Central Command. US officials say the crash of the KC-135 Stratotanker followed an incident involving a second aircraft and was not caused by enemy or friendly fire. Despite this, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq later claimed responsibility for “shooting down” the aircraft.
