U.S. strikes alleged drug boat in the Pacific Ocean
The U.S. military on Wednesday said it has carried out another strike on what it called a drug-smuggling vessel. The strike happened in the Pacific Ocean, rather than the Caribbean. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted video of the operation on social media, writing that two “narco-terrorists” were killed. The strike was the eighth such military strike since last month, and a second strike on a vessel in the Pacific was announced hours later. The Trump administration has justified the attacks by saying the U.S. is in armed conflict with the drug cartels, but has provided no details on the targets.
